Wishing stone ‘Plus est en vous’

This was the ‘house motto’ of the Lords of Gruuthuse, an influential family in Bruges during the late Middle Ages. In a sense, it has thus become Bruges’ ‘motto’. The text can be translated as ‘There is more within you’. The stone comes in a beautiful box bearing the words ‘Believe in yourself’. The stone makes a lovely gift to wish someone facing a challenge the best of luck.
