U nu
- Wood
Joost van den Vondel’s line 'U, nu!' ('You, now') was voted the most beautiful in Dutch-language literature on Radio 1. Van den Vondel wrote this shortest Dutch poem as early as 1620. Maud designed 'U nu' at the request of Radio 1. It’s intriguing how a love poem can emerge from just three letters—or actually two: 'n' and 'u'. Flip the 'n' upside down, and you get another 'u'. One letter, so much meaning.
