The translation of this Afrikaans text is ‘Don’t worry’. Afrikaans is a language spoken in South Africa. Maud Bekaert launched a project in a shanty town in Cape Town in 2007 and has been travelling to South Africa for a few weeks every year since then to continue monitoring the project. There, she often heard people say ‘Moenie worry nie’. That was the inspiration for creating this work.
